mirrors

Today I build a "hotbox" so I can strip mirrors without scraching. I will post pics later: cannot wait. The thing I love about doing mirrors is the antique process or the distressing, whicever you prefer... I love that it cannot be duplicated exactly twice and that it's fun. I really cannot wait to get the chemicals to resilver and antique on the building up process instead of the tearing down! Thanks to Rob for all his years of knowledge and mentoring, not just me but quite a few of us!

These are sample mirrors, I am trying to get good pictures of the larger mirrors, but the samples should really provide you with an idea of what could be done with them! Names, logos, designs, flowers.... working on putting images in the back/photos, but this is in process.
I LOVE them in cabinet doors, used in windows! anywhere: they really are versatile and amazing! anywhere you can put glass you can use a distressed mirror!

Distressing Mirrors and de-stressing.

I have been working with mirrors lately and am loving the end product and the journey to that product. Mirrors are fascinating, I love working backwards, I love the fact that no two could come out the same, and that they are fairly unpredictable during the process. So far it has been a lot of fun. My next task is to start from glass and re-silver them while antiquing on the way. IF YOU CLICK ON AN IMAGE YOU SHOULD SEE IT LARGE
